World Field Guide (WFG) commits to treat any information submitted by its users with sensitivity, honesty and respect.
While WFG does not recognize individual users. It does recognize the domain name of an Internet Service Provided (ISP) from its Internet Protocol (IP) address and if the connections are being made through a specific search engine such as Google, MSN, Yahoo, etc.
WFG may track website traffic which will include computer and connection information such as browser type and version, operating system and platform; the full Uniform Resource Locators (URLs) which lead to and around its site; and the pages viewed, including the date and time of visits. Such collection and analyzation will be used solely for the intent of improving the content and performance of WFG.
“Cookies” are used solely to remember your site preference (casual visitor vs serious researched). Your browser will delete the cookies upon close.
While WFG does not, at this time, share with any third parties any information obtained from its users, it may at some time in the future find it a good business practice to do so. The utmost care and discretion will be used to protect the privacy and security of its users.
Should WFG be linked to third party sites, it is not responsible or liable for the privacy practices or content found on such sites.
Should WFG be sold, or acquired or merged or become affiliated with another entity, any and all user information owned or under the control of WFG may become a transferred asset.
WFG will cooperate with law enforcement investigations, comply with court orders or subpoenas to protect the legal rights of itself or others when it believes the safety of an individual may be at risk or when there is a need for fraud protection and/or credit risk prevention or avoidance.
